I am the Founder and Director of Echi [eh-chee], a strategic change consultancy that helps organisations evolve amid times of complex change. Echi means ‘tomorrow’ in igbo and speaks to how the powerful actions we take in the here and now, can lead us to a better future.
As the world shifts, so does the landscape in which mission-led organisations and groups can thrive.
At Echi, we work with organisations on both their internal structures; their purpose, organisational values and behaviours, and on the external; in their organisational priorities, strategic impact and goals to help find synergies and cohesion between both.
What is the best approach groups and organisations should adapt as many of our current structures are crumbling?
As new paradigms are emerging, where and how do progressive organisations and groups play a role?
Big changes or small, our role is to support mission-led groups and organisations to embody their values and purpose through an iterative working process, coaching and collaboration
Specific areas of work include (but are not limited to):
Strategic insight and development on organisational priorities and impact
An audit of organisational alignment, working cultures, adaptability and well-being
Mid-senior leadership coaching and short to long term critical friendship
Stewarding groups and organisations through change and transitionary periods
Group mediation through a reparatory lens
Disability justice analysis - particularly understanding the impacts of Covid and the Pandemicene
Testimonials:
"I had the privilege of working closely with Selina during a period of significant organisational change. In her role as an EDI Adviser, she brought exceptional insight, challenge and support, helping my team critically examine our systems and processes to identify opportunities for greater equitable and inclusive practice.
Beyond her technical expertise, Selina created a trusted and psychologically safe space for reflection and growth. As a Programme Lead navigating complex change, I valued her thought leadership, guidance and ability to balance empathy with strategic thinking. Selina has a rare talent for helping people and organisations move from intention to meaningful action, and I would highly recommend her to any organisation seeking to create a more inclusive and equitable culture.” - Fon Browndy, former EDI Programme Lead, Wellcome Trust
Selina is a deeply thoughtful and creative person, who we are incredibly lucky to have been supported by in our strategic thinking and programme design at PIRC. Selina supported us in the design and delivery of the UK's first narrative leadership programme for people with lived experience of oppression and marginalisation—offering us guidance, feedback and a mirror for our values. She has continued to be a compassionately critical friend to PIRC, asking all the right questions and helping us to stretch into new ways of thinking and being in the work of social and climate justice. She's offered us wisdom, warmth and care as we've navigated complex change in our organisation over the past year. I couldn't recommend her enough—she is strategic, perceptive and deeply committed to liberation. We need more Selina's in the world!
